Service: Well House Workday (Grand Rapids)Date:
Saturday, April 7, 2018
435 Ionia Ave SW
Grand Rapids, MI 49503 United States
UPDATE: Due to the weather forecast the Well House Work Day will be held at the Downtown Market where we will help with planting seeds and transplanting plants for the Well House Plant Sale and Gardens.
Well House believes the solution to homelessness is housing. Join fellow CFI supporters on Saturday, April 7th, at 1pm to help prepare raised garden beds at Well House homes. We will be turning and breaking up soil to prepare for spring planting. It is outdoors work. It is essentially the same skill set as weeding with maybe a little more digging involved. All of the homes are in Grand Rapids – within a 1/2 mile of 600 Cass SE.
Please RSVP to Sue Johnson at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Well House is holding a Volunteer Orientation from 11:00am – 12:30pm that morning at the Cass location. You do not need to attend the orientation to participate in the work day but are welcome and encouraged to if you are interested in learning more about the organization or are interested in other volunteer opportunities Well House has available. No registration necessary. See the Well House website for more information.
If the weather doesn’t cooperate, we have an inclement weather backup at the Downtown Market that’s inside and consists of seeding and transplanting. Make sure you RSVP so we can contact you in case of any scheduling changes.
