Let Dennis know ASAP! January is one of the higher need times for volunteers at Kids’ Food Basket because many people kind of back off after the holidays!

Kids’ Food Basket has MOVED, and need our help more than ever! Our annual Secular Service Project at Kids’ Food Basket will be Saturday January 4, 2020. Kids’ Food Basket is a nonprofit organization that attacks childhood hunger through their Sack Supper program, which now serves nearly 10,000 kids each weekday in West Michigan. Sack Suppers are well-rounded meals which provide nutrition necessary for a child’s development. Kids’ Food Basket has a number of tasks they require to assemble their sack suppers. They will assign us a project depending on their immediate needs at that time. We need 20 volunteers willing to work in a friendly, fun atmosphere. Our two-hour stint, 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 am, usually flies by in no time. Kids 5 and older are welcome (though must be accompanied by an adult up to 15). We will assemble at 8:55 a.m. sharp and begin after a brief orientation.

Each volunteer must have an account with Kids’ Food Basket. If you created an account when you worked with us last year you don’t need to do this again. If you haven’t created an account before, do that at kidsfoodbasket.volunteerhub.com. To secure your spot this must be done no later than one week before our project date. Only fill out your own account. The information about the organization and time slot has been already accounted for. Children need a separate account, that can be created by the parent.

This is one of our more popular service projects. We look forward to seeing you there!
