Description:

Ann St. Clair explored the history of the reproductive rights movement and examined current challenges that advocates are facing in the field today. In 1920, American women gained the right to vote, but could they legally use contraception? What exactly does the Roe v. Wade decision say and did it legalize abortion in our nation for the first time? What reproductive freedoms are threatened today by current policies at the state and federal level? These and other questions were explored in her information-dense presentation.
