The results of the election in November were a shock to many people. We’ve heard from many members who are scared, disappointed, angry, and confused.
In the coming years we as a secular community will have to fight harder than we ever have to protect against threats to our freedoms and values.
Lyza Ingraham, a licensed counselor, joins us to help us cope with the shock and anger that many of you are feeling, and take some time to refocus and find the resilience we’ll need to face what lies ahead.
In the second half of the presentation, Jennifer Beahan, will share the plans and goals that CFI as a national organization, and locally in Michigan, has set to actively fight to protect secular values and the rights of secular individuals. She’ll also share how you as members can get directly involved in these goals and “do something to help” by participating as volunteers, and engaging in advocacy efforts.Meetings are open to the Public
After the meeting, join us at Vitale’s Restaurant, 834 Leonard NE, Grand Rapids, MI to socialize. View Map
