Join us for an intriguing look at sexual identity and orientation by comparing the different perspectives of heteronormative sexuality from monotheistic traditions to Secular Hedonism and other earth traditions.
We’ll begin with an overview of important definitions including heteronormative, non-heteronormative, LGBTQA, and non-binary sexual terms. Wolfgang will then lead us through a comparison of monogamy constructs vs. open and polyamorous relationships from real monogamy, serial monogamy and pretend monogamy, to polyamory and swingers.
He will also address the “Real 50 Shades of Gray” and questions of control and power exchange among participants, the power of church and state over your personal body, and BDSM and will analyze both conscious and unconscious dynamics. Finally, we will look at the “Waves of the 21st Century” and the current state of secular chastity, asexuality, secular hedonism, Cybersex, Face to Face interactions, Hybrid Space, and ultimately to Pandora’s box: Convergence.
Meetings are open to the Public and are held in the Auditorium on the lower level. Please use the door on the south side of the building on the lower level (by parking lot).
After the meeting, join us at Vitale’s Sports Bar, 834 Leonard NE, Grand Rapids, MI to socialize. View Map
